"Go ahead and hate Joe Namath, go ahead and cheat a friend,
Do it in a Native headband, you're a justified Indian." - One Tin Soldier

What did Joe Namath ever do to upset the writers of this song?

Then there's Rick James singing about "The kind of girl you read about in Newsweek Magazine."

Pink Floyd is one of the most covered bands out there.  Give your ears a gander at this small handful of Floyd covers and pick the cover version you feel is best and comment on why you believe that cover is the best.

I never hear of Far Incorporation, or even the cover. It's hard to say as the West Coast All Star version is great except maybe the singing guitar solo part. But I will say this, Jason's performance on this track shows just how good he once was and it shows he might have been meant to sing songs like this more than "If You Leave Me Now", I cannot take The Rock Lobsters one seriously when compared to the others so I couldn't vote for it.

So for me it's a tie between Far Inc. and West Coast, as Far Inc. had a good musical sound and nice arrangement while West Coast being a capella is a completely different beast but also superbly done. So my vote is, Far West Coast Inc.

Prior to this post, the only one I heard was Far Incorporation's version and that was in a bar during the '80's. The DJ had gotten a verbal chewing out by me for ever playing this tune. I'm all for radical changes in cover tunes, but some things are just not meant to be messed with...like chocolate chip cookies.

That being said, finding the best live version of Zeppelin's "Stairway" can be fun. My picks would be from their 1975 Earl Court show in London (the May 18th show specifically) and their final concert with Bonzo in Berlin on 7/7/1980.

Easily the original...Though I do have the version with Greg Lake on a bootleg, it's not bad either

The original version would win any poll I'd put it in against any cover version.  So leaving the original version out-- which of these 3 cover versions do you think is the best and why?

Which version of Heat of the Moment do you prefer?

You know me, I usually like original versions best!

I agree on this song.

I never heard either of these songs.  I'll have to listen and let you know.
