Speaking of solo Beach Boys, Brian's new CD, Brian Wilson ReImagines the Gershwins comes out tomorrow (8/24). I'm really looking forward to it.
Brian's got a great voice and is a wonderful arranger but his lyrics trend towards the overly innocent almost child-like.
It will be nice to hear his arrangements of some of the old Gershwin standards. There are sound clips posted on Amazon.com already for those who are interested.
