Last week in my Internet travels I read an intriguing review by YourZenMine (an Aussie husband/wife duo that reviews a different CD/album every day).

Easy Star All Star's Easy Star's Lonely Hearts Dub Band (their review can be found here: http://yourzenmine.blogspot.com/2010/09/easy-star-all-stars-easy-stars-lonely.html)

Easy Star is a reggae band that does reggae covers of other bands.  Prior to covering the Beatles on Easy Star's Lonely Hearts Dub Band, they also covered Pink Floyd (Dub Side of the Moon) and Radiohead (Radiodread.  Surprisingly it works!  Heck if DJ Zen can pull off a Bossa Nova Beatles cover album... why not a Reggae Beatles cover album?!

If you want to hear some familiar music re-imagined in a reggae context this album is a pure delight (as are Easy Star's other releases)

Darrin,

Every heard of Dread Zepplin?

It's Elvis + Led Zepplin + a dash of reggie...It's purely ear candy, but I had a few friends who knew my interest in Zepplin back then, so they introduced me to this stuff:
